Security Forces Neutralize 12 Terrorists in Kalat IBO: ISPR

Security forces kill 12 terrorists during IBO in Balochistan’s Kalat ISPR

Quetta, Balochistan – Security forces successfully killed twelve terrorists during a high-profile Intelligence-Based Operation (IBO) conducted in the Kalat District of Balochistan, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of the Pakistan Army, confirmed in a statement on Sunday.

The operation was launched following credible intelligence reports regarding the presence of a terrorist group operating in the area, who were reportedly involved in numerous acts of violence against security forces and civilian infrastructure.

Intense Fire Exchange Leads to Success

According to the ISPR statement, the security forces successfully pinpointed the terrorists’ location. During the ensuing intense exchange of fire, the security forces effectively engaged the threat, resulting in the neutralization of all twelve terrorists.

The ISPR further confirmed that a significant cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosives was recovered from the killed terrorists, indicating their intent to carry out further destabilizing activities in the region.

Commitment to ‘Azm-e-Istehkam’

The military’s media wing highlighted that the killed terrorists had been “actively involved in numerous terrorist activities in the area” and belonged to an Indian proxy group, which it named as Fitna al Hindustan.

Sanitization operations are currently underway in the area to eliminate the presence of any remaining terrorists.

The successful operation is a continuation of the country’s relentless counter-terrorism campaign under the vision of Azm-e-Istehkam (Resolve for Stability), which was approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan. The ISPR reaffirmed that security forces and law enforcement agencies are determined to wipe out the menace of foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from Pakistan.

The security forces of Pakistan remain committed to maintaining peace and stability in the province and across the country.
